The capital of a country or a state has a very important part to play in the functioning of the country. Capital cities are of different kinds.  While there are national capitals, there are also state capitals. These governances epicentres provide all the necessary administrative, judicial, and legislative functions of the country.  State capitals may be shared. However, countries usually do not share capitals.  In fact South Africa has three capitals.  Pretoria is for administrative purposes, Cape Town for legislative purposes.  Bloemfontein is for judicial purposes.  South Africa was infamous for apartheid which was destroyed by the protests led by Nelson Mandela which finally led to the freedom from apartheid for the country. This process of different capitals for the Nations are sometimes followed in countries due to climatic conditions with winter capitals and summer 
capitals.

The economic conditions of the capitals of Africa are mostly poor which results in the lowest level of quality of life for the residents there.  The richer of the nations, South Africa, actually has maximum resources as well which resulted in Cape Town and Pretoria being considered the best to live in. Reason for travellers to visit the capital cities of Africa are because of the exotic wild life, vibrancy of people, natural attractions, and beautiful water bodies. Some of the countries and their capitals in Africa are as given below:  Madagascar with the Antananarivo.  Malawi has Lilongwe.  Mali has Bamako.  

Mauritania goes with Nouakchott.  Mauritius has Port Louis, Morocco goes with Rabat, and Mozambique goes by Maputo.  The biggest continent also has a lot of tourists visiting it to enjoy the wilderness. There have been many documentaries on the wild life safaris starting from these national capitals. While the countries and capitals offer plenty for the tourists, travel with caution as there is lots of internal strife in Africa.
